Tee box designation

1. MGA players will tee from their age-appropriate tee box throughout the year, including tournament play, excluding players that Rule (1)(c) applies to.

   1. Below 50 years of age – Black, Players (Black/Blue) or All Blue

   2. Age 50-59 – Senior Players (Blue/White)

   3. Age 60-64 – All White

   4. Age 65-69 – Super Senior (Gold White)

   5. Age 70-74 – All Gold

   6. Age 75+ – Gold/Red

2. Saturday/Sunday MGA players can opt to change their tee box a maximum of twice per year, excluding changes due to birthdays.

   1. Tee box changes must be requested and acknowledged by the MGA prior to playing any rounds from said new tee box.

3. MGA tournament players may choose any age-appropriate tee box to play from (including rule (1)(d) below)

   1. This rule does not apply to tournaments that require specific tees (i.e. Club Championship playing Black-Blue, etc.)

   2. Players are NOT allowed to change tee boxes after registering for an event without the express permission of the MGA Tournament Rules Committee

4. MGA Players with a handicap index of 18 or higher may play any tee box, up to White Tees

   1. Rule (1)(b) still applies to these players and tee box designation must be acknowledged by the MGA prior to changing.

5. The MGA will keep a master roster that includes tee box designations and changes (including dates)
